Who is responsible for the personal data we collect? 

Martinson is part of HejMar AB and the group The Cotton Group. HejMar AB is the personal data controller for the personal data you provide through purchases and other contact with us and is responsible for processing these in accordance with current legislation.

Where is your personal data stored? 

We aim for your personal data to be processed as much as possible within the European Economic Area (EEA) and all our own IT systems, but may also be transferred and processed in a country outside the EEA (so-called “third country”). Such transfer only takes place to recipient countries with an adequate level of protection and in accordance with current legislation. If transfer takes place to partners for a service in the USA, this only happens to companies that are covered by the so-called “Privacy Shield”, which is an agreement on the protection of personal data between the EU and the USA.

Who has access to your information?

Your data is primarily used by Martinson to fulfill our commitments to you and to improve your experience with us. They may also be shared in The Cotton Group.

In order for us to be able to offer the services mentioned below and fulfill our commitments to you as a customer, we share your personal data with companies that are so-called personal data assistants for us.This is done only for the purposes for which we have collected the information and only to companies that can provide sufficient guarantees regarding the security and confidentiality of personal data.

We provide information and content for suppliers and service providers who support our business, for example by providing technical infrastructure services (such as, for example, IT systems, CRM systems), analyzing how our products are used, delivering and distributing products that you have purchased, offering payments or conduct surveys. We never sell your data on to third parties, and never will. If the ownership of HejMar AB changes, we may transfer the information about you to the new owner.

How long do we store data?

We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide a good customer experience for you or to fulfill our contractual obligations. Information that we receive about you (including data about financial transactions in connection with purchases) is saved for the time required by applicable law.

What rights do you have?

Right to information:
You have the right to request information about which personal data we store about you at any time. You contact Martinson as below, who will then get back to you with answers to what information we have about you.

Right to rectification:
You have the right to request the correction of any incorrect personal data and to complete incomplete personal data.

Right to erasure / “Right to be forgotten”:
You may have the right to request that Martinson delete the personal data that we process about you. In the following situations, this may become relevant:

  • If the data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • If the processing is based on your consent and you withdraw that consent.
  • If the processing takes place for direct marketing and you no longer want marketing from us.
  • If, after a balance of interests, there are no justified reasons that outweigh your interests.

  • You have the right to refuse direct marketing, including profiling analyzes for direct marketing purposes.

Right to limited processing:
You have the right to ask Martinson to limit the processing of your personal data in the following situations:

  • In some cases, you may have the right to demand that the processing of personal data be restricted. Restriction means that the data is marked so that it may only be processed for certain limited purposes in the future.
  • The right to restriction applies, among other things, when the data subject considers the data to be incorrect and requests correction.
  • If you state that your personal information is incorrect, Martinson will refrain from processing such information during the period when the correctness of the personal data is investigated.

We will retain your information in direct marketing until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive direct marketing from Martinson.In the case of email marketing, we do not consider you an active customer if you have not opened an email in the past year and we regularly remove inactive email addresses from our register.
